Chaitanya Reddy: From the Fields of Prakasam to Policy Corridors
Raised in a farming community in Prakasam, Chaitanya turned his firsthand understanding of rural challenges into action across grassroots development, government and public policy.
In Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, where farming is both tradition and struggle, Chaitanya Reddy grew up watching hardworking families remain trapped in cycles of debt and inequity.
His turning point came during his Rural Agricultural Work Experience Program, where socio-economic surveys showed how structural barriers could shape people's futures regardless of effort.
Armed with a degree in Agriculture, Chaitanya joined the Piramal Foundation, first as a Gandhi Fellow and later as a Program Leader under NITI Aayog's Aspirational Districts Program.
Aspire's reflective modules and global mentorship helped him articulate leadership rooted in empathy and collaboration.
Today, as a Consultant with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, he continues connecting grassroots realities with systemic reform, climate policy and youth engagement.
